Funeral Bearer/Driver Part-time/Casual

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude at all times backed up by the highest standards of customer service

Act as first point of contact for any members of the family, or general public, when they visit the chapel of rest.

Promote the importance, and benefits of, effective team work at all times

Oversee the collection of and the subsequent handling and viewing of all bodies when back at the company premises.

Accompany the bodies to the church/crematorium and support the Funeral Director throughout the services.

Collect names from those that attend the funeral /cremations and assist in the administration of the donations taken at the services

Act as pallbearer at services

Drive company vehicles as necessary and ensure that the vehicles are maintained and cleaned to the correct company standard at all times

Comply with all relevant hygiene, health and safety and other relevant legislation at all times

Build effective working relationships with peers , subordinates and directors

Ensure the safe handling of stock, cash and all other items whilst on duty.

Any other reasonable duties required by the Funeral Director

Punctuality, reliability and standard of appearance at all times
Levels of compliments and complaints received from customers
Standard of work carried out
Compliance with all legal /statutory requirements
Building of effective working relationships with subordinates, peers and directors
