Job Description

Key Duties:

• Deal with enquiries and telephone calls as required, including receiving and recording incoming customer service calls and parts orders.

• To ensure parts and service correspondence is processed as required and in a timely manner. Booking in parts promptly so that the job can be completed and closed for invoicing.

• To process all parts orders as requested by Service Engineers, Service Controller, Branch Service Manager and customers.

• Parts sourcing via web sites and computer system.

• To maintain the Parts Department: to carry out regular stock takes and ensure necessary replacement parts and spares for stock are ordered promptly.
• To process Hire and Transport requests , ensuring all equipment movement is logged and that all charges & costs are correctly accounted for and invoiced accordingly.

• To Follow up on Driver Training enquiries , book and ensure the administration is followed through to completion of courses.

• Process all job sheets and apply appropriate charges for all chargeable and non-chargeable work.

• Ensure all service department paperwork and invoicing is processed within the timescale required.

• Ensure all paper work is filed and maintained in an orderly and timely manner.

• Assist in all other areas of the service administration operations as required and to provide full support to the team.

• In the absence of the Department Supervisors, to assume responsibility and ensure all relevant
actions are taken as required.

• Comply with all Company Regulations.

Other responsibilities

To promote the sales of Hand pallet trucks and other attachments such as snow ploughs, carpet booms and all fork-mounted equipment.
This will be a developing role and it may be required to review the responsibilities if and when required, due to the level of work.

Key Requirements:

• Proficient in MS Office particularly Word and Excel
• Excellent customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Flexible, can do attitude
• Ability to work within timescales and to meet deadlines as and when required.
