Job Description

West Park care are currently looking for full-time care experts to support our passionate management team. This is a perfect position for someone who wants full-time hours with a flexible working pattern. We are looking for outstanding candidates to join our team as Domiciliary Home Care Experts across Harrogate and the surrounding areas. Our clients expect the very best care in their own homes and therefore we are looking for individuals that are committed to providing outstanding domiciliary care. We offer comprehensive induction training including the care certificate and ongoing career development. We want to support our staff to be the best and will support you in this.

Duties may include:

Personal care.
Companionship calls.
Meal preparations.
Light domestic support.
Supporting with medication (training provided).
Moving and handling support.
Shopping for groceries and also for pleasure.
Accompanying client to varying appointments (including medical).
Specialist Dementia care.
Palliative Care.
Requirements:

Care experience: 1 year (Required), experience in a similar role will be considered as well as any transferable skills you may have.
Committed to providing high quality and professional person-centred care.
Able to work independently and without direct supervision but also an ability to work as part of a focused care team.
Willingness to commit to personal development and constantly improve standards of care.
High standard of verbal communication.
Good basic food hygiene and food preparation skills for basic meals and snacks.
Ability to build honest and trusting relationships with clients from all backgrounds.
Reliability and flexibility.
Weekend and evening work will be required.
Sensitivity to others – perceptive and recognise changing needs of others.
Understand the importance of representing the business professionally and diligently at all times.
You must have a full UK Driving license and use of your own car to be used for business purposes.
