Trainee Night or Day Support Workers

Our Meldreth Manor site supports young children and people who are aged 6-19 years who have highly complex learning difficulties.

The site has a vast range of facilities set within 14 acres, hosting a vast range of facilities.

What we look for in a Support Worker:

Have a genuine passion for care and be motivated by contributing to the development of others
Ability to work under pressure and sometimes within challenging and stressful situations
Be self-motivated and use your own initiative
Have an ability to build long standing relationships, a willingness to support, communicate and to encourage general health and wellbeing
Be patient, resilient and level headed when faced with adversity

General day to day duties:

Provide personal care
Making each day fun, enjoyable and engaging
Assisting with therapy sessions such as hydrotherapy or rebound therapy
Ensuring that the complex medical needs of the children and young people are met
Help with the social and educational needs of the children and young people
Work with families to ensure that the clients are supported in the best way
Keeping notes and logs
Additional information:

Location: Meldreth, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border - Nr. Royston

Salary: £8.75ph + a night supplement of £15 per night (c. £2,730 per year)

Hours: 4-week rota pattern of 14 night shifts 8:45pm to 8:15am or 13 shifts day shifts 8:00am to 9:00pm – Ave 39hrs per week.
