Transport Supervisor (Castle Donington)

Job Description

My client is a trusted and well-known Manufacturer, who have a reputation for quality. They have been established for over 40 years and with 11 locations they continue to grow. They are now recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to join their friendly and established team based in castle Donington. You will be responsible for working alongside the Warehouse Supervisor, Supervising a small team of 5 Drivers.

The hours of work will be Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:30pm (no weekend work involved at all). You will be working in a busy, friendly and supportive team. My client also offers a variety of benefits, including 25 days holiday.

As an experienced Transport Supervisor your duties will involve:

. Managing a team of 5 Drivers, supporting the Warehouse Manager where needed.
. Tacho based Administration and dealing with Driver infringements.
. You will also be dealing with Booking MOT''s, 6-week inspections for vehicles and the Administration relating to daily vehicle defect
sheets, escalate any repairs/issues to management.
. The Transport Supervisor will liaise with repair companies and obtain quotes.
. Ensuring goods are safely loaded and the drivers are managing their time effectively.
. Overseeing continuous improvement, Health & Safety and a tidy work environment.
. Responsible for overseeing attendance and absence.
. You may also need to use a Counterbalance and Reach FLT.
. Experience of previously working as a Transport Supervisor is essential.
