Job Description
Our client is a specialist in Surface Coating and Metal Finishing. They operate within a wide range of sectors, from automotive and construction to wind energy and petrochemical.
They are now looking to appoint a Senior Quality Engineer in their Wolverhampton Manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of metal finishing processes and a good understanding of ISO14001.
The key parts of the role are as follows:
1. Completion of customer concern reports [QCR] with Team input.
2. Execution of internal Process audits in accordance with IATF 16949,
3. Arranging and Management of external audit activity for customers and BSI.
4. Managing the Quality Department Maintaining HR files, new starter inductions & including training.
5. Arranging and controlling internal & external equipment, calibration.
6. Maintenance of FMEA and control plans.
7. Maintenance of controlled documentation, including S.O.P''s & care points.
8. Compilation of monthly quality reports, as directed.
9. Managing APQP activities, including producing PPAP''s.
10. Contract review of all new jobs including specification review.
11. Compiling Key Performance Indicator reports.
12. Managing/analysis of customer and internal rejects and report daily.
13. Visiting customers in response to customer concerns.
14. Develop and maintain boundary samples store and log.
15. Ownership of material control and develop a reporting tool linked to final audit.
16. Produce a daily quarantine area report and take control of sorting personnel.
17. Control all first and last offs including sample audits of suppliers work.
18. Material audits of incoming products.
19. Liaising with the Group Compliance Manager to ensure that localised QMS complies with requirements in relation to IATF16949/ISO14001 Management Systems and Customer Specific requirements.
Key Skills :
1. Strong communicator with customers via meetings, e-mails and telephone. 2. A strong team player, with a Can-do attitude. 3. Computer literate, with ability to use Microsoft Office. 4. Working Knowledge of Quality Management systems, with knowledge of IATF16949 an advantage. 5. Current driving Licence holder. 6. Able to work under pressure and use initiative to get tasks completed. 7. Ability to communicate well, with staff, Management Teams across the Group, when needed.
