Role - Engineering Safety Training Co-ordinator
Location - Basingstoke / Reading area
Package - £33,850.00-£50,800.00 per annum plus contributory pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement, additional flexible benefits scheme and excellent work/life balance including 9 day working fortnight.

This role will be to advise the Safety Engineering Manager on Company Policy with respect to the training of Suitably Qualified & Experienced Persons for membership of the AWE Engineering Safety Organisation. Create, establish, maintain and audit engineering safety training courses at AWE and provide guidance and direction on Engineering Safety Training Courses.
You will be required to:
- Ensure compliance with industry best practice in training of Engineering Safety Organisation appointees
- Create and report on appropriate metrics
- audit and report on the appropriateness and efficiency of all aspects of engineering safety training
- Measure training performance (using internal and external benchmarks) and implement improvements where necessary
- Provide professional engineering advice on engineering safety training to AWE
- Maintain communication about training activities across AWE
- Continuously improve the range and quality of engineering safety training
- Evaluate training supplier offerings and the quality thereof
- Manage engineering safety training funding and the efficient delivery of the training within budget
To be successful in this role you should have the following skills:
- ONC/OND in Engineering subject or related Level 3 certificate from specialist body
- Experience of the delivery of engineering safety courses
- Knowledge of engineering safety legislation, regulations and standards, and their implementation
- Awareness and experience of engineering safety courses as a participant or organise
- Experience of utilising the knowledge and skills gained on such courses, and the effectiveness thereof
