We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious individual to join a hardworking and passionate team based in Winchester as a Junior Clerk.
Our client is a large provider of legal services, providing high-quality legal representation to clients in the UK and overseas for more than 70 years.
The Junior Clerk will be part of a fast-paced department and will be responsible for the full ownership of all general office duties. The primary purpose of the role is to provide an effective and efficient clerking service to the senior Clerks and Barristers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a bright and determined school leaver to join a successful organisation, with longevity and progression.
Duties for the Junior Clerk will include:
* Accountable for the management of general office duties
* Attending court and supporting Barristers
* Liaising with clients over the telephone and email
* Corresponding with Barristers and Solicitors regarding legal paperwork and documents
* Supporting internal and external team members
* Assisting with setting up conference rooms
The successful candidate will have:
* Excellent telephone manner
* Ability to prioritise workload and to work well under pressure
* Demonstrate good telephone and communication skills
* High attention to detail
* Can do positive attitude
* Microsoft Word experience
* Natural problem solver
* Proactive, forward thinker with the ability to use own initiative
* A team player
