Job Description
Service Care Health are looking for an enthusiastic and driven staff nurse to join the vascular team at an NHS Trust in Preston. The position is Band 5, so you can expect to be earning between £20-£35 per hour (depending on experience). The hospital can book up to 3 months in advance, although shift work is available.
This is an exciting opportunity for you develop and be a part of one of the largest foundation trusts in the north west. You will be working in a productive environment undertaking a range of activities.
About you:
*You will be a dynamic nurse who possesses excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills in order to maintain the wards high standards
*You must be willing to expand in the role e.g. IV additives, venepuncture and cannulation
*You must have knowledge of relevant policies and procedures & changes to practice
*You must be caring and compassionate with an ability to work in a team
About the role:
*You will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating the health and wellbeing of patients. This includes checking for vital signs and EWS, early recognition of acutely ill patients, fluid balance monitoring, wound dressings etc.
*You will be working in a 33 bedded unit, with plans for a high observation bay
*You will be expected to support other staff and help them reach their full potential
Requirements:
*Appropriate NMC Registration
*RN1, RN2 General Nursing Posts
*Diploma in Nursing
*Evidence of continuing education or development for more experienced Band 5 nurses
