Job purpose:
As a Network Contractor Manager, you will have responsibility for leading a team who source, select and implement contractor delivery solutions for home delivery.

About the role:
You will engage with the Delivery Planning Team, Field Team and Depot Network to identify the need to supply home delivery contractor solutions
Create a standard were Contractor solutions are implemented and managed to achieve the agreed service, compliance and cost criteria to our final customers
Ensure management controls both in Depot and Field are implemented properly and reviewed were the Contractor solution operates
Conduct strategic/ periodical service reviews with Contractors to ensure service targets are met and maintained
Ensure the contractual, legal and procurement processes are followed and developed, when implementing Contractors for delivery and for sub depot operations management
Maintenance of individual Contractor records including back-up solutions
Responsible for all aspects of Contractor pay negotiation to ensure they are fair, consistent and cost effective for the company
Represent the Company through personal contact with our Clients who use the Hermes distribution network for the delivery of their products to their Customers
You will liaise with the Depots and Field to ensure agreed service levels are established and maintained to provide a consistent quality service to the Contractors, Sub Depots and Couriers
Lead the development of the Contractor Model to ensure it meets our client and end customer demandsRequirements:
Previous experience gained within a parcel or transport operational / supplier management role is essential
You must be resilient, with the capability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability in supplier relationship management
Proven ability to manage multiple suppliers and to problem solve
Strong influencing skills
Experience in cost per unit management
The ability to demonstrate: drive for results, business and financial acumen and conflict management
