Transport Planner / Engineer

My client, a large multi-national organisation are looking to bolster a successful, established team with a Transport Planner. The clients include local authorities and government organisations, private developers, house builders, housing associations and education providers.

Responsibilities:

This is an excellent opportunity for a Transportation Planner to join our team based in our head office in Newcastle, to play a key role in the provision of innovative and effective transportation advice.

Working across a variety of sectors such as education, commercial, healthcare, retail and residential developments, you will work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to support the delivery of technically-excellent, profitable projects.

Duties include:

* Development planning;

* Masterplanning;

* Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans;

* Traffic data analysis and presentation;

* Parking Assessments;

* Section 278 works;

* Stand Alone Junction Modelling; and Junction Design.

Qualifications:

Educated to degree level in a relevant subject, and having gained experience in a transportation and/or transport planning role within a relevant consultancy and/or local authority you have proven your technical capability with applicable technical software such as GIS, ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig and TEMPRO.

You have experience of detailed co-ordination with other design disciplines and have proven ability in producing effective transport planning solutions and preparing project reports.

Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential
