Functional Skills Tutor

An ''Outstanding'' training provider that focusses on supporting young people aged 14-24 through the delivery of apprenticeships, study programmes and traineeships is looking for an experienced Functional Skills Tutor in Wolverhampton. As a Functional Skills Tutor your duties will include:

Managing an average of 15-20 learners in a classroom
Creating individual learning plans to meet learner needs.
Planning lessons.
Creating conditions in the training centre(s) which will help to develop the abilities, skill and confidence of each learner.
Keeping learner records accurate and up to date.
Supporting the implementation and development of the Functional Skills (FS) Strategy.
We are looking for a Functional Skills Tutor you will have the following skills and experience:

Previous Functional Skills or Maths and English experience.
Previous teaching / tutoring experience with the ability to work with students that may have challenging behaviours.
Full teaching qualifications - Cert Ed, C&G7407, CTTLS, DTTLS.
Qualification in ICT L2.
As a Tutor, you will be joining their 300+ members of staff operating from 28 training centre locations across with West and East of England and will receive a salary of up to £27,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a pension scheme and employee of the month awards!
