Fire Alarm Engineer

FDS Recruitment is currently seeking a Fire Alarm Engineer to cover South London and the South East
Our Client is an NSI Gold Certified company that operates within the Fire Detection & Alarm Systems industry. The company has countless years of knowledge and experience and the majority of their contracts are with schools and universities. Experience and good knowledge in the Fire Alarm industry is essential for you to be a successful candidate for this position. You must be confident in your work, reliable, conscientious, hardworking and must have a positive "can do" approach.
Fire Alarm Engineer Qualities

Your day to day duties will include - routine and reactive maintenance on fire alarm systems, limited installation and commissioning. You will work as part of a team covering out of hours call outs on a rota basis. You must be flexible in your approach and be able to work with the varying equipment. A solid work ethic is vital. You must be able to demonstrate strong knowledge and experience within the fire alarm field. The covering area will be in South London and the South East mainly Kent, Sussex and Surrey. All works and paperwork must be completed in accordance with British Standards and company policy.
Fire Alarm Engineer Essential Knowledge and Experience
* Good Knowledge and understanding of BS 5839 (Desired)
* Good knowledge of industry leading manufacturers
* Ability to fault find accurately
* Servicing, install and commissioning experience on both addressable and conventional fire alarm systems
* Must have Drivers Licence
* Willing to travel
