Financial Controller

Our client is a growing business based in Ely and they are currently recruiting for a self-motivated and forward-thinking Financial Controller to over see their small finance team.

This will be a hands-on role that will also be part of the senior team. The role will be varied and duties will include;

Production of weekly and monthly management accounts
Balance sheet reconciliations
Margin analysis and daily and weekly KPI implementation to ensure that variances and anomalies are picked up and acted upon
Working closely with Finance Director in preparation of budgets and forecasts
Working with stakeholders on new product and customer costing evaluations
Improving the quality of management information to drive the continued success of the business'' bottom line
Managing a team of three
Ad hoc analysis and project work

The successful candidate will be a proven Financial Controller with people management skills and a background working in the manufacturing and or FMCG arenas.

A candidate who is driven to succeed and add value is essential to the success of this role and experience of weekly accounting alongside month-end is also very important. You will also enjoy getting involved in the ''shop-floor'' aspects of the role as without that you won''t be able to get under the skin of the company.

Qualifications are desirable but not essential to this position because you will be judged on your results and how you do the job as opposed to appearances.
