The ResQ-Window joined BLE Smoke and Fire Curtains product offering in July 2019, giving first responders the ability to see through the ResQ-Window panel within the curtain, to enable safer and faster evacuation.

We are looking for a production operative to join our team, who has significant experience working in an environment with hazardous chemicals. This would be most suited to someone who is used to working in a paint spraying/chemical based environment. Full training on how to create this specific product will be given.

Key aspects of the role include:

Mixing designated chemicals using specified amounts.

Check viscosity and adjust mixture as required. Record all results.

Apply specified amount of mixture to fabric ensuring a smooth evenly applied coat on both sides.

Weight check is then required and documented.

Disposing of waste products in a defined way.

Special PPE/RPE is provided including but not limited to: Fume cupboard, localised extraction, airstream helmet, overalls and gloves.

Essential Criteria:

Minimum of 3 years working in an environment with hazardous chemicals (eg powder coating, paint spraying, laboratory environment)

Minimum of 1 years experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Attention to detail

High level of manual dexterity

Good at keeping records

Experience of using Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE)

Team player

Strong ability to use own initiative

Flexiblility in working hours
