Trainee Car Trimmer

This is a fabulous opportunity for a trainee to learn a new career and skill set, and to work for a professional business, who refit prestigious cars with first class interiors.

There is also an element of work within the film industry, which may also require you to go onto film sets.

Full training will be given but primarily the candidate must have an interest in cars, be hands on and want to work to perfection.

Skills and duties to learn for car trimming include:

* Help choose right material

* Learn how to cut perfectly

* Remove seats/panel work from cars and replace with new or refit once repaired.

* To unpick sew lines

* Prepare work for trimming ,removing glue sanding and cleaning

* To retrim (cover) easier parts of the job

* Learn how to use glues on different surfaces

Skills and duties to learn for film sets include:

* Cutting out

* Folding and cleaning backdrops and screens

* Eyeleting back drops

* Learn how to hand and machine sew

* Assistant on locations with experience worker

* Stripping down and cleaning upholstery

* Training on how to glues and hot glue gun
