Growth and investment remain firmly on the agenda and as such, this is an extremely exciting time to be joining this organisation. As such we are looking to appoint outstanding Senior Buyers who can shape and deliver transformational change within this progressive organisation.

Responsibilities:

· Exciting opportunity to drive a best in class purchasing activity within this dynamic organisation.

· Act as the Sourcing expert for the specified commodity grouping, where you will formulate appropriate commodity strategies and policies, whilst leading creative sourcing initiatives in order to offer credible solutions.

· Support the creation and implementation of sourcing strategies that adapt and respond to changes in both external marketplace and internal demand.

· Based in the West Midlands, you will lead best practice procurement techniques, focusing on all elements of sourcing, commercial negotiation, make vs buy, contract and risk management, value engineering etc.

· Develop continuous supplier assessment accreditation and performance improvement programmes whilst focusing on quality, delivery, cost and service.

· To proactively move the business towards more creative and modern purchasing techniques and systems.

· Instil a measurable approach for category strategy wherein each stage has clean objectives and direction.

· These highly visible roles demand real change agents, who will relish the opportunity to impact upon this dynamic business.

· As such, successful candidates will have a proven track record in Purchasing and Commodity/Category Management gained in a progressive environment which operates to best in class principles.

· With extensive exposure to managing complex direct purchasing/category groupings, you will understand leading edge procurement and are likely to be working within a dynamic manufacturing environment i.e. consumer goods, general engineering, lighting, HVAC, piping or similar world class sectors where best in class principles prevail.

· Decisive, entrepreneurial and credible, you will understand how to lead a growth agenda and will possess the flair and ability to think creatively in order to lead the business to unprecedented levels of performance.
