Job Description

Job Title - Design Coordinator

Location - Cramlington

Rate - £25 - £30 p/h depending on experience

Start Date - Immediate

Are you currently looking for a new role within a large construction company? Have you got experience working as a BIM Author? If so we have the perfect role for you.

Provide the leadership, energy and enthusiasm to deliver your objectives and strategic goals,
including:-

Leadership of the co-ordination between Design, BIM, the Factory Facility, Site, Procurement and the Client by being the central point of communication for the design process
Ascertain the critical path procurement schedule and integrate any design works in accordance with the schedule, ensuring all scope changes are logged
Engage the end users during the design process through workshops
Carry out value engineering reviews through leading a collaborative workshop process and fix the final design for earliest procurement and manufacture
Ensure designs make use of best practice technologies and pre-fabrication techniques
Ensure factory manufacturing is integrated into the overall project programme within the model
Act as the interface with the end user and OEMs to fully understand the requirements of the facility and associated equipment
Understand the technical requirements and installation methods for the process services
Carry out integration reviews of the process services into building design and programmeSkills and Experience Required:

An appropriate Engineering qualification and relevant experience in a related role to ensure ability to complete the role
Hospital, cleanroom and laboratory design and construction experience
An understanding of engineering technologies
Significant Building Services experience
Experience of MMC including off site manufacturing
Experience of working on and controlling multiple projects throughout their life span to ensure effective completion to the standards required.
Experience of working with all aspects of Microsoft OfficeProven Capability in the following areas:-

Proactive leadership with a focus on bringing solutions and overcoming obstacles
An ability to work either independently or part of a team, adopting the most effective approach to ensure all team tasks are completed to the best of each individual''s ability.
A tenacious self-starter always looking for a better way to deliver and pushing the boundaries of what is possible
Positive communication skills in dealing with stakeholders so that customer satisfaction and awareness is maintained, and problems are satisfactorily resolved in a timely and effective manner.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
Strong project management or project engineer skills
Sound understanding of engineering technologies
