Head of Financial Reporting

My client is a manufacturer, distributor, and retailer of products for the B2B and B2B markets.

As a result of significant growth, the business now wishes to appoint a technically strong and career-minded Head of Financial Reporting to join the Group Finance team.

This is a varied and challenging role that will provide scope for development.

The purpose of this role is to take overall responsibility for the preparation and filing of all externally reported financial and taxation information in complete satisfaction of the Group''s legal and regulatory obligations.

DUTIES:

• Prepare and report the Group''s Half Year and Full Year consolidation financial statements, report and investor slides

• Ensure compliance in full with all accounting standards. Maintain supporting calculations for all financial adjustments vs. management information (e.g. IFRS 9, IFRS 15)

• Corporation Tax - preparation of the Group''s tax provisions. Oversight for completion and submission of subsidiary tax computations, R&D and Patent Box claims, SAO and all other corporation tax reporting matters.

• Statutory Accounts - responsibility for the preparation, review, audit, signing and filing of all subsidiary statutory accounts.

• Audit Planning - co-ordinate HY, interim, FY and statutory account audit timetables with internal and external stakeholders. Oversee each audit process, primary point of contact with external auditors and monitor outstanding audit points.

• Team management and development

• Continual improvement of external reporting and taxation processes to ensure accurate and timely submission of information.

• Group compliance reporting - oversee the timely submission to HMRC all aspects of the Group''s compliance reporting (VAT, Intrastat, VIES, EC sales, P11d, P46 cars, PAYE and PSA)

KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

• Recognised Professional Qualification (ACA/ACCA)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate complex and financial information in a concise, informative manner

• Technical accounting knowledge required

• Ambitious and driven able to work on own but also within a team

• The ability to communicate confidently and effectively with colleagues

• Keen eye and attention to detail

• Ability to manage their time effectively
