Panel Assembler

Our client is a market leading company in a niche sector who have been established for over 60 years. This role would be joining a dedicated assembly team. They are looking for a Panel Assembler to join their team who is hardworking and eager to learn and progress within the company.

Job Description:

To assemble control panels and kiosks to given wiring diagrams and parts lists in accordance with the company standard procedures.
Liaising with Test Engineer, Stores and Design Department with problems relating to design/manufacture.
Keep accurate timesheets for time spent per job.
Maintain and assist in improving company procedures where possible.
Ensure all materials are available and correct.
Experience using hand tools safely, read wiring diagrams and follow training to a high standard.
Wear and use safety equipment correctly.
Be prepared to attend sites across the UK which may involve overnight stays.
Communicate at all levels.
Responsible for the care of the Company tools, reporting any defects to the Manager.Candidate Requirements:

Ideally have a technical qualification pertaining to Electrical Engineering
Experience working within a similar role
Understanding of control system functionality and component make up
Knowledge of reading systematic diagrams
Ability to make off cables and looms
Soldering of components
Forming of cables
Component recognition
Assembly of control panel backplates
Self-motivated
Candidate who is very thorough
Competent using hand tools
Team player
Good computer skills
Strong prioritising skills and ability to manager own workload
Be able to drive and have own transport, on-site parking availableHours: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm / Friday 8:00am - 3.30pm

Salary: £8.75 per hour (equivalent to £17,745 per annum)
