Flood Risk Consultant- EXETER

My client, a specialist UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Flood Risk Consultant to join an expanding Water and Environmental Team based in Exeter.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background including a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Environmental Management or Engineering and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow, Flood Risk Assessments and GIS Mapping.

Applicants are required to have varied technical experience and a keen interest to work on diverse flood risk and environmental projects.

This role can be based from Birmingham, Leeds, Exeter or the South Coast.

You will join a supportive and experienced team of Environmental Consultants and assist with the management or projects and mentoring of team members. As a Flood Risk Consultant you will be required to complete varied Hydrological, Surface Water, Flood Risk and Hydraulic Modelling Projects for Private Sector Clients, Local Authorities and Water Companies.

You will be required to complete technical work including;

-Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications in flood zones 1,2 and 3.

-Flood Estimation using FEH.

-Hydrological Assessments.

-Hydraulic Modelling, Model Build and Verification using Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow.

-GIS Mapping.

-Drainage Strategies and concept design.

-Environmental Impact Assessments.
