Maths Teacher (SEN)

Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) located in the borough of Tower Hamlets is recruiting for either a MPS or UPS Teacher of Maths (SEN). Long term and immediate start!
Thriving & Popular PRU that is in the heart of the community. The children who attend this PRU are taught to be the best versions of themselves. Additionally they have clear goals and aspirations and know what is expected of them. They have been diagnosed with SEMH and have EHCPs. Strong SLT, SEN Teachers and Support Staff. The SEN Teachers have been graded a minimum of a "Good" and must be mirrored by new teachers.
Due to expansion, new position has arisen for a Teacher of Maths/ SEN Maths Teacher ( ie MPS or UPS). The successful Maths Teacher/ Teacher of Maths (SEN); it is imperative that you have an SEN or mainstream teaching qualification (ie PGCE/ GTP / Teach First /Cert Ed/ SCITT/ QTS). You are able to teach fun, creative, engaging Maths lessons at KS3 & KS4 (KS5 beneficial but not essential). Your SEN experience; CAMHS/ SEMH/ ODD/ADHD and /or Challenging Behaviour etc. Also your work history must have been in either a PRU/ Alternative provision / SEN School (behaviour) or Mainstream School.
* Must be a Well-Qualified Teacher; PGCE/ Cert Ed/ Teach First / GTP/ SCITT/ QTS
* Your SEN experience; CAMHs /SEMH/ ODD /ADHD/ Challenging Behaviour
* NQTs or Experienced Maths Teacher welcome to apply (MPS or UPS)
* Can successfully able to de-escalate behaviour.
* Can teach a minimum of a "Good" lesson
* Must have worked in either an Alternative Provision/ PRU/ SEN School or Mainstream School with challenging behaviour
* You must be in close commutable distance to Tower Hamlets
