Job Description
An exciting new opportunity has arisen to work for an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Divisional Director of Operations, for up to 3 months in the first instance.
The postholder will be responsible for the delivery and performance of all operational services. As this is a key position within the organisation''s senior management structure, candidates must be experienced in managing across Urgent and Emergency Care pathways, including the wider healthcare footprint.
The role will be remunerated under the NHSI Agency Caps at Band 9.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leadership and responsibility for the delivery and performance of operational services across urgent and emergency care pathways;
- Take lead responsibility for delivering national and internal targets;
- Efficient and effective use of resources to ensure highest standards of patient care and excellent service delivery;
- Ensure the delivery of agreed quality and financial standards;
- Manage the development and implementation of new strategic objectives;
- Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative measures to establish and monitor performance against organisational strategy;
- Maintain effective working partnerships with commissioners, external stakeholders and other NHS services.
- Masters degree qualification or equivalent level of experience;
- Strong NHS background and broad ranging experience in different clinical services;
- Experience of managing critical systems in an operational setting;
- Proven ability to implement innovative services and deliver patient outcomes;
- Significant experience of managing large budgets and high numbers of staff;
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
