Operations & Freight Forwarding Assistant

Our client, based on the outskirts of Basildon, are seeking a Operations & Freight Forwarding Assistant to join the team.

You must have a minimum of one year''s experience within a Exports and Freight Forwarding role in order to be considered for this position.

Duties will include:

Receiving and logging bookings
Managing the Shipping documentation from start to finish
Handling Exports - the role is 80% Export, and the remainder is 20% is import
Overseeing Bills of Lading ensuring the correct receipt of cargo for shipment is attached
Liaising with clients over the telephone and via email
General logistics administration duties to assist the smooth running of the officeCandidate requirements:

A minimum of one years experience within Exports and Freight Forwarding
An understanding of shipping documentation
Good use of MS Word and Outlook with the ability to learn new databasesSalary, 20k-25k
Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day
