Legal Counsel - Commercial & IP

This is an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Lawyer / Solicitor with some experience of Intellectual Property & Commercial Contracts to join a very successful software company. The role is to provide support and guidance with a range of corporate affairs and will require some ad hoc travel within England. There is flexibility for home working and a range of company benefits.

The company is expanding both in size and in product offering and has many public sector contracts; these include the NHS and local governments. The products are exciting and innovative and involve some business partnering contracts.

Your remit is to support the business with customer contracts, corporate support and Intellectual property; this includes IT licensing and data protection. Some knowledge of public sector framework agreements and the formation of call off contracts would be really useful for this role but not essential.

Key skills and experience required for the Legal Counsel role:

Qualified lawyer with 3 years PQE in corporate law - Governance, compliance & IP

Proven experience in contract formation

Ability to support sales & bids on procurement matters and contract issues

Experience of IT / IP matters to support licensing of IP

Precise and succinct writing skills with excellent attention to detail
