The Company
With a history in excess of 165 years, my client has been based in Nottingham and has sold and delivered their products across the UK and across the world.

Due to the expansion of their on-line sales and their confidence for the bar / restaurant / wedding sector, they are now looking to bring in a Warehouse / Logistics Manager who is familiar with working in a fast-paced and tight-knit team, and who can help continue this impressive growth.

The Role
This position involves working for a small but successful business, where you''ll be involved in a variety of activities. Even the MD has been known to help unload a lorry or answer the phone and speak to customers and suppliers. So a real hands on attitude, and willingness to do what needs doing, really runs through the DNA of the company.

As already said, this is a very varied and hands-on role. Shown below are some of the typical duties, but you''ll be expected to lead from the front, and be responsible for developing your own team as the business continues to grow.

Direct, optimise and coordinate full order cycle, from order receipt to dispatch.
Plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.
Liaise with suppliers, couriers, trade clients and consumers/customers.
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments.
Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce, and analyse data to assess performance to Implement and drive continuous improvement activities.
Comply with laws, regulations, and Health & Safety requirements.
Make recommendation for system improvements.
Ensure documentation is completed to a high degree of accuracy.The Person

This will take a special blend of lower volume, higher value warehousing and logistics experience, combined with customer service and hands on leadership qualities.

Relevant experience as a Warehouse / Logistics Manager
Proven success within distribution and logistics management
Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff - especially relevant if you have developed a team.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
Proven experience of going the extra mile.
You''ll also need a full UK driving licence and live within a reasonable commute of Nottingham. We are not looking that thiose that will need to relocate or sit in traffic for hours every day (thanks).Rewards
