Highly regarded Lexcel accredited firm seeks dynamic Crime Duty Solicitors in Essex.

Managing a diverse caseload covering the full remit of criminal matters, the successful solicitors will advise clients from initial arrest up to and including trial. Due to the nature of this position, the ability to attend clients out of hours will be essential. This role is based in our client''s highly regarded practice located in Chelmsford.

Responsibilities

Conducting advocacy at the Magistrates'' Court
Providing representation at police stations
Drafting witness statements
Motoring offences
Sexual offences
Fraud
Money laundering
Violent crimes
Proceeds of Crime Act matters
Liaising with the CPS and courts

The Candidate

Solicitors with 1-2 years'' PQE in criminal matters
Crime duty accreditation is a pre-requisite
Excellent communication skills
Strong advocacy skills
Works well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Ability to manage a demanding caseload with minimal supervision
Demonstrates a pragmatic, professional and positive approach
