MAINTENANCE ENGINEER - Nottinghamshire, Permanent

EMBS Engineering is working in partnership with a leading, high profile precision engineering company located on the outskirts of Nottinghamshire which has easy commutable access from surrounding areas such as; Sheffield, Chesterfield, Derby, Newark, Nottingham etc.

Our client is a globally recognised engineering business that specialises in the manufacture of small to medium sized, complex, safety critical components for lucrative OEM and Tier 1 customers within various industry sectors, including aerospace.

Due to new project wins the business is looking to expand its Maintenance department and recruit a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Servicing mechanical, electrical equipment, and other site services
Breakdown repairs and maintenance CNC Machines including Milling machines, Lathes, Borers and Grinders
Carry out planned maintenance on all equipment/machinery
Actively identify and remedy equipment maintenance issues to maximize production
Maintain a high level of Cleanliness and follow good manufacturing practices at all times
Always keep production departments updated with equipment issues and downtime

Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:

Maintenance Technician experience - minimum 5 years working on Multi-Axis CNC Milling and Turning machines
Sound knowledge of fault-finding, electrical and mechanical repairs
Experience repairing and troubleshooting CNC Machines
Strong knowledge of a broad range of equipment and controls including Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens, Mazak, Matsuura, DMG, HAAS.
Ability to work with multiple drawings and hand tools
Ability to Install, modify, upgrade and repair factory infrastructure items to include compressed airlines & fittings, electric sockets, lights, network cabling, sockets etc.
Ability to work with minimal supervision
HND/HNC, or equivalent, in an Electrically bias relevant engineering discipline - Essential
17th edition electrical qualification - Desireable

Shifts: Days (Early finish on Fridays)
Salary: Circa £34,000 p.a basic
Overtime available at x1.5 of basic rate
