Job Description

Here at AMETEK Airtechnology Ltd, things are moving forward! We now need an exceptional aerospace quality professional to join our successful team.

This role will give you the opportunity to play an important hands-on part in maintaining and administering quality and business management systems across our aerospace manufacturing operations, developing and maintaining standardised working practices and ensuring compliance to customer, regulatory and certification bodies through internal audit.

Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of quality engineering and quality auditing within a complex electromechanical manufacturing environment (ideally for the aerospace, aviation or military vehicle markets). You will be a hands-on influencer with experience of auditing to AS9100, EASA, FAA and CAA standards/ regulations, and driving compliance and improvements according to these standards.

Reporting to the Director of Quality, the scope of the role is:

* Support all customer, regulatory and certification body audits.

* Support regulatory training across the business e.g. Human Factors, Certifying Staff Training.

* Carry out the duties listed below, consistently achieving the required standards of quality, together with any other reasonable duties requested by your supervisor to meet operational needs.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead all customer, regulatory and certification body audits

• Support regulatory training across the business e.g., Human Factors, Certifying Staff Training

• Maintain the company BMS

• Support closeout of actions raised during customer, regulatory and certification body audits as required and address any areas for improvement identified

• Manage the internal audit programme to EASA21G, EASA145, FAA, AS9100

• Lead problem solving teams in line with the AAG standard processes to ensure effective root cause and corrective/preventive actions are implemented

• Management of the document change control process, including all processes, procedures, work instructions and standard operating procedures

• Support the coordination of regulatory requirements and monitor regulatory changes affecting the organisation and its approvals

• Ensure customer specifications are incorporated into processes and procedures

• Support improvement activities in line with the organisations policy deployment process

• Maintain quality data to support weekly, monthly, and annual Management Reviews

• Have sufficient knowledge to support the FAIR process to AS9102

• Monitor and escalate, where necessary, internal product quality issues

• Participate in improvement activities including 5S driving improvements in quality standards across the business

Position Requirements:

1. A proven track record of working in a similar role within a manufacturing operations environment (Ideally aerospace, aviation or comparable)

2. Past experience of quality auditing in a regulated environment

3. Ideally with an engineering qualification or having completed an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent

4. Proven knowledge of Business Management Systems

6. Understanding of regulatory requirements appertaining the supply of product for the Aerospace and Defence industries

7. Familiar with the AS9100 and FAA standards/regulations - Desirable

8. Good command of the English language and very articulate

11. Good presentation and communication skills to groups of around 10 people and to senior management.

12. Experience of coaching and mentoring

13. Ability to work in a team
