Legal & Service Charges Advisor

I am working with an organisation who are looking for a Legal & Service Charges Advisor to join them on a 6-month contract basis starting ASAP. The role is based in Gwent and there is agile working.

The role will be busy, diverse and you would be working with a supportive team who work together to achieve team goals.

Duties will loosely include:

Service charges - ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and contractual obligations
Ensure all charge are calculated correctly and debt are collected within agreed terms
Manage the leaseholder invoicing process for capital and revenue based charges
Ensure accurate records of all assets are recorded. E.g., shops, leaseholders, commercial premises etc
Liaise and be the point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders
Manage legal proceedings for court / tribunal purposes, ensuring compliance with legislation
Work with the assets team to review briefs, specifications or tender documents Person specification:

Constantly driving make improvements
Experience within the legal sector and confident ensuring compliance with relevant legal procedures
Housing management / Leasehold / Service charges experience would be advantageous
Well organised with attention to detail They are looking for candidates who have experience within the legal sector whether that is within a firm, local government or the wider industry - what is important is that you have a strong understanding of legal complexities and procedures.

Due to the immediate nature of the role, in order to be considered you would need to have a maximum of a 1 week notice period and my client will be looking to interview as soon as next week
