Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Manager who specialises in European oversea partners.
Key Responsibilities:
[European Management overseas partners]
• To be able to develop new platforms and work with preferred European operators on full and part time trailer/ groupage movements.
• Maintain an understanding and awareness of market conditions and trends.
• Communication with overseas agents and clients is to be clear, precise and effective.
• The ability to grow repeat business and develop new opportunities.
[Operational Focus]
• Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients.
• Communicate effectively with operations colleagues.
• Build strong working relationships.
• Coordinating our own European Import and Export client requirements.
• Accurate & timely reporting to department manager/s.
• Take ownership of own training and development so as to continuously improve and develop, including training new starters where required.
Experience
• Significant experience required in a similar role
• Have established good relationships and contacts within the industry
• Will ideally have own customer base that will follow
• Experience of working in a high pressure environment whilst retaining the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
• Experience with customs and border controls.
General Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent planning and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• May be required to work overtime, weekends and/or be flexible in start/finish times
• The ability to prioritise a large number of tasks to ensure accuracy, and deliver results with great attention to detail and a high sense of urgency.
• Foreign languages would be an added advantage.
• Willing to travel as required
Monday-Friday
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 depending on experience
