The Role: Project Manager - Construction

Location: London base / Nationwide coverage

Sector: Property / Construction - Leisure & Entertainment Venues

Salary: £50,000 to £60,000pa

The search is on for an experienced and passionate Project Manager to join my client as they embark on a very exciting period of reinvestment. The estate is home to stunning, historical sites as well as state of the art performance technology.

Capability to manage local and national contractors. Understanding when to manage closely and when to give autonomy.
Significant project management experience with a broad understanding of Property and Facilities.
Multisite experience in a highly differentiated property portfolio as opposed to identikit sites.
A track record of implementing inclusive structured approaches that work
The Ideal candidate with be used to dealing with a number of construction / refit / refurb projects at the same time. If you have worked on Listed Buildings within Leisure and Entertainment that would be a huge advantage.

Key drivers for the role are superior technical ability across construction / MEP, the ability to form collaborative relationships and a desire to deliver best in class projects on time and on budget. You will need to be willing to push yourself and achieve your goals.

Key Responsibilities

Management of the procurement and delivery of capital works including all legislative requirements e.g. fire, health and safety, CDM.
Preparing technical briefs for the engagement of consultants and contractors and management of the contractual arrangements.
Tight management of budgets with full financial control and accountability.
Development and monitoring of capital expenditure plans for all venues, including continued project prioritisation to assist in budget preparation.
To ensure the preparation of regular monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting as required by the Property Director for the effective monitoring and evaluation of buildings and estate issues.
To work closely with the rest of the Property team and wider Group Operations team, currently including Technical Operations, Interior Design, Risk Management, Facilities Management, Procurement and PMO.
Manage the effective delivery of emergency work arising outside normal working hours, including the co-ordination of building and engineering resources.
Management of leases and licences, ensuring the group is fulfilling its legal responsibilities. This will involve liaison with landlords, management companies, local councils and solicitors.
Where venues require assistance, managing day-to-day building and engineering response, repair and maintenance, engaging contractors and initiating orders as necessary. Ensure that venue teams are obtaining value for money in their works.
