Job Title: Home Care Assistant
Location: Cheltenham and Surrounding Areas
Salary: up to £9.66 per hour
* Enhanced Bank Holiday Pay
* Overtime available
* Additional Mileage allowance and travel time top up paid
Hours of work: There are opportunities to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends to meet the individual needs of each client.
The Role:

To be successful in this role as a Home Care Assistant you will need to:
* Support our clients within their community to provide person centred care, whilst developing and maintain positive working relationships with clients'' families.
* To be reliable and someone our clients depend on, whilst showing them compassion and empathy
* Someone who will laugh with our clients and spend time with them, so they do not feel lonely
* Encourage our clients to make their own choices n every aspect of their life and support them to follow their interests
* Make them feel valued
* High level of communication skills (written and verbal)
* Driving License and Vehicle (this would be advantageous)

Main Responsibilities
* Preparation of meals and drinks
* Prompting of medication and assisting them to attend GP and hospital appointments.
* To assist clients with personal care where required which may involve assistance with; Continence requirements (bathing and showering). Use of hoists (training provided) whilst ensuring Health and Safety of all clients.
* To maintain records (e.g. care plans) where necessary, ensuring these are wholly accurate, up to date and completed in a timely manner, whilst ensuring strict Confidentiality and Data Protection.
* Understand each client''s care hours within their home, and ensure you are supporting clients to reflect their care and support needs accordingly
* Participate in mandatory staff meetings
