Steelwork Draughtsman

Draughtsman - £35,000 - £50,000 D.O.E.
Our client is a highly successful steelwork fabricator - based in Northamptonshire - they design, fabricate, and install secondary steelwork including mezzanine floors, extensions, gantries etc. and a wide range of Architectural steelwork such as stairs, hand railing, ladders etc. Due to continued expansion and the addition of extra premises, they now require an additional detailer to join their busy drawing office.
Role / Duties:
* Working from engineering/GA drawings to create 3D CAD models for a range of steelwork projects.
* Create detailed assembly/fabrication drawings, bills of material, erection drawings.
* Liaise with relevant internal departments as required, Design, Contracts, Workshop etc. as well an external companies such as Architects and engineers.
* Generate and chase as required technical queries/RFIs.
* Working within a team of detailers on a project or running your own project from start to finish.
Candidate requirements:
* Experience using Tekla structures software is much preferred as the drawing office use this software. Exceptional candidates that use other 3D steel detailing systems will be considered with full training provided on Tekla structures software.
* Steelwork knowledge is essential for this role with a minimum of 5 years'' experience in detailing structural, secondary, and Architectural steelwork or any combination of such. Detailing experience of Architectural steelwork would be advantageous.
* Ability to organise workload and manage detailing / issue of drawings program.
* Good time keeping.
* Must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis.
* Full UK driving license.
On offer:
* This is a full time, permanent PAYE position.
* Excellent salary on offer - £35,000 to £50,000 dependent upon experience.
* Hours 8.30 a.m. - 17.00 p.m. Mon - Fri.
* 28 days holiday including bank holidays + Annual leave extra days scheme, Auto enrolment Pension and Private Healthcare after 6 months.
