Location - Yorkshire

Package - £35k - £40k inc bonus

Candidate - Experienced domestic plumber or heating engineer that has installed Air Source Heat Pumps on new build housing projects or social housing retrofit projects. Understands the plumbing requirements on site for installing heat pumps correctly. Excellent customer service skills, personable, good clear communications skills both in person and on the phone, patience with others and works well in a team.

The Role

Leading national provider of domestic plumbing and Air Source Heat Pumps for new builds and social housing retrofits seeks an office/home based Project Engineer to oversee their ASHP project installations from technical advice to quoting, designing, estimating and specifying with consultants, engineers and installers. You will be engaging with the top industry manufacturers of heat pumps, ordering the most appropriate equipment with a focus on both Air Source Heat Pumps and Air to Water Heat Pumps and working alongside them to ensure that major renewable heating projects are delivered on time and according to the project requirements.

Experience Required

Due to the nature of the role you must have a successful background of installing domestic plumbing systems and ideally air source heat pumps. You will be able to interpret plumbing layouts, technical schematics and ideally wiring diagrams (not essential) and you will be up to date on current industry regulations e.g. water regulations. Furthermore, if you have plumbing and heating qualifications / certifications such as level 2 plumbing or level 3 advanced plumbing or unvented hot water or BPEC or you are an MCS accredited installer then this would be a great advantage. The role is predominantly office and home based project interfacing with end clients and the sales teams both on the phone and by computer but there may be some survey''s or site visits required. Therefore, basic IT skills and good communication and team working skills are essential.

They are able to supply a comprehensive range of air source heat pumps either Air Source or Air to Water along with suitable hot water cylinders from an extensive list of the top global manufacturers.

The Package

Initial indications by the client are a base package range for the Project Engineer of between £35,000 and £40,000 including bonus although there may be some further flexibility depending on your experience and suitability for the position.
