Director of Health & Safety | Maidenhead
Salary: Circa £90,000 plus car or allowance, excellent benefits and bonus

Irwin & Colton have been engaged by a leading retail and logistics organisation to recruit a Director of Health & Safety. Forming part of the Senior Leadership team, this newly created role will lead on Health, Safety & Environment across all UK operations, covering multiple sites and corporate offices predominantly based within the South of England.

With an element of home working, this is a true leadership position and is an excellent opportunity to become part of an exciting growth journey and have real influence across the organisation.

Responsibilities for the Director of Health & Safety will include:

Leading the development and execution of the safety and health strategy and tactical planning across the group companies
Developing, implementing and promoting new initiatives to increase Health and Safety performance and understanding across the organisations
Ensuring a regular audit programme is conducted, and accurate reporting on findings and improvements are implemented
Engaging with key stakeholders across the business, including working with the Board of Directors to continue to drive a positive safety cultureThe successful Director of Health & Safety will have:

Proven experience in a similar Health and Safety leadership role from within a multi-site retail, logistics, transport or similar environment
NEBOSH or NCRQ Diploma and Membership of IOSH or other relevant professional body (ideally Chartered or working towards)
Proven experience creating and implementing Health and Safety strategy and the ability to communicate and engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the business
A strong technical knowledge across relevant health, safety and environment legislation within a multi-industry environmentThis is an excellent opportunity for a passionate health and safety professional to lead the strategy and overall direction for the function across a diverse organisation.
