Job Description

A new opportunity has arisen within a South East NHS organisation for an interim Assistant Director of HR, supporting the Director of Workforce Transformation.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead on Recruitment, Temporary Staffing, Payroll & Pensions, Workforce Systems, Reporting and Planning, Staff Benefits services for the organisation;
  • The post holder will lead the provision of efficient, high quality, professional and well-coordinated services, capable of meeting statutory, regulatory and NHS best practice requirements, and ensuring alignment with the organisation workforce plan and strategic priorities;
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve services to support staff, teams and the organisation;
  • Provide support and guidance at a corporate level in terms of recruitment and retention, pay and reward, governance and assurance in regard to the workforce strategy.
Key Skills/Experience:
  • Experience of developing and delivering HR and workforce strategies and operational services at a senior level within the NHS
  • Membership of CIPD or equivalent
  • Significant experience of leading and managing staff and teams across several functions
  • Experience in developing Workforce strategies and HR/pay policy and procedures.
