1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant

Seven Education is currently looking for a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant for a popular Primary school based in Andover, required for the Autumn Term with the possibility of extending on a temporary basis.

Duties:

Deal with behavioural and special needs issues in conjunction with the teacher.
Help implement lesson plans to support for curriculum, assist with testing and assessment.
Detect signs of behavioural issues, work with outside health, social and enforcement agencies, maintain behaviour management standards of children.
Specialist responsibility (e.g., Speech Therapy) and support other staff in the school when help is needed in this area.
Must possess basic literacy and numeracy skills, good communication, professional, discrete, and aware of confidentiality protocol.
Be prepared to work in an environment which may require physical effort or strain) manual handling responsibilities), be firm, sensitive, and effective approach towards pupil discipline.
Strong behaviour management is a must.
Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications: NVQ level 2 in SEN LSA.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years'' experience - trained to undertake very personal/intimate medical work for children with special needs, skilled in restraint techniques for dealing with difficult children.
Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK and Enhance DBS check.
Hours: 8:30 - 16:00 Monday to Friday.
Pay: £10.70 - £12 per hour via umbrella pay
