Job Description

Psychology Graduate Mental Health Guildford - Education and Training - Psychology Graduate Mental Health Guildford - LSA role due to start 4th October, if you know your reasons for wanting to work within trauma and mental health, this role is an ideal place to continue towards your objectives.

If you are sincere regarding your objectives within social and youth justice/advocacy, you will be working with boys aged 9-16 who have been through trauma and have significant social, emotional and mental health challenges. The key is to deliver personal and life skills, through a restorative method.

Learning Support Assistant role in Littlehampton, October 4th. Working 1:1 and in small groups with students who have been through significant traumas, focus on restorative practices. Restorative practices underpin everything that happens within this specialist SEMH School.

You must be sincere and understand your objectives, knowing why you want to work with society''s most vulnerable students, is the key. You will not always be ''successful'' in this role, you must take ego out of the equation and understand improving the children''s lives is all that matters, personally and academically.

CAN you demonstrate the value of an education to a child? Can you help give them the skills that can able them to be less vulnerable and susceptible to being manipulated. Empathy drives connection, sympathy drives disconnection - no one wants your sympathy, your students need pragmatism and solutions in this LSA role.

Giving pupils skills, they can use to gain independence, aiming to ensure they do not enter the criminal justice system.

The role specialises in working with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and Wellness concerns. Each student will have very different objectives in and out of school, some will live in supported living when they leave, and some will go to college.

Engaging parents, guardians and the community is a role that the school plays role.

Behaviour is only one aspect of this role and it is only the display of an unmet need.

It is important to understand, where the children are coming from and what traumas they have been through and the importance of clear objectives being set for them, making them feel valued within education in the process.
