Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Administrator to join one of our clients based on the outskirts of Ely who are currently looking to grow their Despatch team. This is hands on position suitable for candidates that enjoy working in fast paced environments, communicating with various departments and have exceptional organisational skills. You will be responsible for completing various shipping documents as well as making shipping arrangements for the client''s products. Despatch, shipping or export experience and knowledge would be an advantage, but the client is able to provide full training for someone who has the desire to learn.

Duration: Permanent
Location: Outskirts of Ely, Cambridgeshire
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm
Salary: paying up to £20,000 per annum depending on experience

Duties:

- Receiving purchase orders from the sales team
- Checking that orders have been entered on the system correctly
- Liaising with different personnel to check when goods will be ready for despatch
- Producing delivery notes for the various transport companies
- Producing of order export invoices and documents
- Emailing customers regarding any changes prior to delivery
- Booking in deliveries either via website, e-mail, or telephone bookings with freight and freight forwarding companies
- Providing quotations and proof of deliveries requested by the sales team
- Managing dispatch schedules and recording delivery details
- Recording any delivery issues and updating the customer and internal contacts
- Recording of all information relevant to the customer order including delivery dates, delivery location and carrier

Key Skills and Experience Required:

- Knowledge of despatch or shipping procedures would be beneficial but not essential
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service skills
- Good organisation and excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in the MS Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Organised and proactive in your approach and have a "can do" attitude
