Job Description

Title: Business Development Manager

Reports to: General Sales Manager

Purpose of Job:

Responsible for developing and growing existing National Account customers whilst generating new leads to grow Jangro sales and market share

The successful applicant:

* Ability to demonstrate good numeracy and IT skills.

* Energetic, persuasive, well organised and team orientated.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction.

* Identify key potential customers and ensure introductions are made

* Research and identify new sales opportunities through multiple prospecting techniques - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services, or new ways of reacting of reaching existing markets

* Communicate and explore/develop sales leads with existing and potential new customers

* Targeting of customers across all sectors to win new business

* Visit and develop potential new and existing accounts to enhance sales.

* Have a good understanding of Jangro''s products and services and be able to advise customers about them

* Deliver presentations on Jangro''s products and services.

* Manage pricing and margins according to agreed aims.

* Effective networking with potential customers

* Produce a report each week on activity and results for General Sales Manager & CEO

* Attend seminars, conferences, and trade shows.

* Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.

* Ensure the National Accounts policy and procedures are adhered to.

* Ensure all internal customer relationship management tools are maintained and updated and Sales team are compliant with Jangro GDPR policy and procedures.

* Adhere to Jangro health and safety and Covid19 policy and procedures.

* Jangro Sales and Marketing Committee

To work closely and build relationships with the above to promote sales and encourage collaboration, growth, and innovation.

Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.

Attend Jangro Committee Meetings for the purpose of active participation.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years continuous experience as a BDM or Sales Manager or Account Manager but not exclusively within the Cleaning and Hygiene Industry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients

Excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

General Skills/Attributes:

Ability to project a professional, dynamic and confident image of self, team and firm.

Willingness to travel or work unsociable hours.

Person Specification:

Flexible approach to work schedule and adaptability to last minute change. Ability to change direction from time to time as the business drivers/focus change to meet market demands.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including online facilitation and presentation skills,
