Job Description
Our client, a well known Public Sector organisation based in Cardonald, requires a number of Flow Navigator Coordinators on a temporary basis initially to the end of the year but with the potential to extend. Pay rate is £13.35 per hour, working Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm, 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility to provide additional shift cover is desirable. Initially the role will be home working but could return to office working in the future.
Main purpose of role:
Exciting opportunities are available for the right individuals to support the development of a Flow Navigator hub within the organisation. Successful candidates will provide leadership and direction to this ''proof of concept'' aimed to support our frontline clinicians.
The organisation has access to a range of alternative pathways for patients including those who have experienced a ground level fall, have mental health concerns or are experiencing breathing difficulties. We also have access to Flow Navigation Centres and Minor Injury Units designed to optimise flow and support the scheduling of urgent care.
We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals who will work with our clinicians by identifying, directing and navigating through these alternatives in real-time.
There will also be a need to work with local Integrated Joint Boards, health and social care partners and territorial Boards to develop and maintain these pathways as well as developing feedback loops at region and station level.
Key Skills and Requirements
Can demonstrate ability to work on own initiative
Experience of communicating clearly and concisely with internal and external stakeholders at all levels across a complex and fast-paced environment
Excellent Customer Service and call handling skills
Previous experience in a healthcare environment, clinical experience and/or medical terminology is advantageous
Evidence of excellent written and oral communication
Team working experience, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a well-developed organisational ability.
Experienced in the use of MS Office including MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Understanding of change concepts
Adaptable and able to work under pressure while maintaining quality outcomes
Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision and be able to manage competing demands
Ability to work flexibly to meet organisational demands and unplanned work
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
Outcome orientated with a focus on delivery of project objectives
