An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Science Technician / Science Laboratory Technician in Southeast London.

A large secondary school with an excellent reputation in Southeast London is seeking to appoint a Science Technician / Science Laboratory Technician to start work with immediate effect.

The post is initially on a temporary contract, with the potential of leading to a longer-term contract for the right Science Technician / Science Laboratory Technician.

The Head Teacher is looking to recruit a suitably experienced technician to join their Science Faculty. Working under the guidance of the Senior Technician, you will aid and advise in meeting the practical needs of the faculty across the science curriculum.

You will ensure the pupils and staff are safe in laboratories, ensure all the equipment and materials are in working order and are adequate for their purpose.

Applicants need to have:

·The ability to effectively communicate with children/young people and school staff
·NVQ 2 or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline
·A willingness to learn and develop new skills
