Duration 3 months

This is 3 months Temporary role which requires at least 6 months experience.

Connect2Luton are excited to recruit a Senior Administrator Office on behalf of Luton Borough Council within their Lifelong Learning department.

As Senior Administrator Officer you will responsible to plan for and provide administrative support to the School Improvement Division in order to facilitate the delivery of efficient and effective services to schools, which are flexible and responsive to schools needs.

About the Role

Plan and create all necessary databases and record systems relating to the financial management of School Optional Support Agreements and Governor Service Level Agreements
Advise headteachers about services offered and how they can best benefit the school
Work closely with the knowledge & Information Team, within department to ensure that senior advisers have accurate and up-to-date performance information about their link schools and strategy managers;
Support the Head of School Improvement, Chief Advisers Primary/Secondary and SIAs on arrangements and target setting relating to Statutory Assessment
Provide support , information and data to senior LA Officers on all matters relating to Ofsted Inspections of Luton Schools and the LA categorisation of schools.About you

Experience of administering budgets
Experience of the organisation and administration of service level agreements or equivalent
Experience of working in the education sector
Experience of producing high quality documents
Demonstrable knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet technology and web-based data systems
Demonstrable understanding of the education sector, including education performance data and knowledge of the education system in England
Understanding of procurement processes in the public sector
Maths and English at GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent
Level 3 in business management or equivalent training
Organisational skills; able to maintain detailed record systems, accuracy of information, and work to changing demands and priorities.
Able to resolve operational problems quickly and efficiently.
Able to use own initiative to make informed judgements with limited supervision and guidance
Writing skills: able to write and compile newsletters to a high standard in a timely way.Desirable skills :

RSA II word processing or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience;
Advanced Excel
Some experience of Local Government practices and proceduresAbout Us
