Commercial Assistant

JTH Recruitment have an exciting opportunity working for our reputable supplier of fresh produce, the role is varied and will give the successful candidate a good insight into an FMCG company. Full training will be given and the position could suit a recent Graduate or someone that has previously worked in a similar position in a junior role. The role requires good solid administration skills, an analytical mind and someone that is looking for an opportunity to grow and develop.

The role is to support the commercial and innovation teams, manage leads and deliver profitable sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain and develop strong relationships with customers, including proactive and reactive communication via face-to-face/Microsoft Teams meetings, telephone and email communication.

* Understanding the account performance data and review overall profitability of accounts.

* Ensuring costed profitability is mirrored in our Prophet operating system.

* Analyse monthly performance against budget and assist with plans to address underperformance.

* Review monthly sales forecasts with Planning and Procurement as required.

* Maintain an accurate record of all pricing, sales and activity.

* Attend customer presentations and meetings as required

* Calculate simple cost in use levels of the showcased ingredients

* Attend internal commercial (sales) meetings

* Any other reasonable duties

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

* Interest in food, health and nutrition

* Understanding of commercial activities

* Inquisitive nature with desire to follow up /investigate leads and opportunities

* Outgoing personality

* Ability to work on own initiative, Self-starter / Self motivated

* Computer literate with Microsoft products as a minimum

* Some overnight and international travel may be required from time to time
