The Role
The Software Institute looking for smart, ambitious, and inquisitive people to join our Automation Test Engineering Programme starting 3rd of May 2022.
During the first eight weeks you will participate in our remote, fast-track training programme which focuses on consulting skills, key programming and automation testing skills and how to apply them in real-life software development projects.
You will soon be able to build automated test pipelines and learning what it takes to develop secure, scalable software for enterprise clients using the best test automation tools.
We will then support you as you start your first consulting placement onsite with the Software Institute''s global IT client in the West Midlands
Although this role is advertised in Manchester, however you will be required to relocate to Telford.
You''ll be putting your training into practice as you start to:
* Use core programming languages like Java, C# and Python
* Design and write automation test scripts
* Build CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins and Circle CI
* Investigate usability and security problems in software
* Troubleshoot application issues, bugs, and bottlenecks
* Work as part of a multi-skilled software development team and collaborating with other engineers
* Contribute to challenging projects for one of their key clients

Salary and Benefits
* Employed by The Software Institute on Day 1
* Starting salary of £18,000 during eight-week training programme rising to £25,000 on starting your first client placement
