Job Description
Application Chemist/ Technical Manager
Through continued site and company growth another exciting opportunity is open to join a leading specialist chemical and product manufacturing organisation for an experienced Application Chemist or Technical Lead. This role supports the key delivery of client projects, new product development and a subject matter expert within Fluorocarbon based products.
Role and responsibilities (not limited too):
• Subject matter expert (SME) on fluoropolymers products and technology
• To design, develop and create technical solutions to client projects with innovation and development of products.
• Strong chemistry knowledge and understanding of physical and organic chemistry within industrial applications.
• Experience of different industry working standards - Pharmaceutical, medical device, defence, petrochemical etc
• Experienced in NPD - taking concept through design to working prototypes.
• Understanding of Quality system ISO9001.
• Hands on approach to produce high quality, robust products for commercial use.
• Strong proven ability to resolve problems - Projects, resources, technical and planning.
• Ideally customer service experience in delivering complex technical and scientific solutions.
• Commercially aware of the service concept, proposal, delivery, and final product
Qualifications
• Ideally PhD, Mchem or Degree qualification in chemistry, chemical engineering, organic chemistry, and analytical chemistry
• Relevant work experience in providing technical and scientific on chemical applications.
• Previous experience within a chemical manufacturing environment
• Experience of delivering work, liaising with clients, proposal writing and commercially aware
• Experience of operating in multi-disciplinary project teams
