Finance Assistant

Role: Finance Assistant

Location: Stoke - Hybrid working

Type: Temporary - Full Time

Duration: Three to Six months

Hourly rate: £11 to £13 per hour plus holiday pay

Finance Assistant required to join a dynamic and results driven finance team for our Public Sector client in Stoke.

As a member of the Finance team, you will report into the Management Accountant and promote compliance to internal finance policies, procedures and processes. You will prepare process and maintain accounting records across all areas of the finance function.

Key responsibilities for the Finance Assistant:

Generate the weekly reports
Process the ineligible payments from customers
Processing benefits - generating upload reports for posting income to individual accounts
Raising journals to the main financial accounting system
Bank Reconciliation
Covering for Sales ledger - Finance Assistant when on leavePerson Specification for the Finance Assistant:

Bookkeeping experience
Proficient in Microsoft packages
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise responsibilities
Demonstrates initiative, whilst able to take directionBenefits:
