Job Description

Our client who is based within the higher education sector, have a temporary role for a Business Development Executive. This is a temporary contract until the end of January 2023. This role is based in Paisley, although home working for present. The role is Monday to Friday and based on 35 hours per week, with a pay rate of £14.84 per hour.
A PVG Disclosure Certificate dated within last 12 months is required.

Main duties and responsibilities:
To support and actively generate commercial business across Business & Enterprise activities which generate income towards the college income target.
To be familiar with the full range of curriculum, products and programmes offered by the college being able to match provision with industry training requirements.
To promote new and existing initiatives which may include research, assisting in the formulation of project planning, promotion, implementation, and review.
To support both national and international commercial projects as required.
To contribute to the achievement of commercial and Business & Enterprise income targets.
To support the marketing and running of college conference facilities maximising commercial income from these resources.
To represent the commercial team and Business & Enterprise at appropriate marketing and promotional events capturing opportunities to promote the college''s commercial and income generating activities.
To liaise with the marketing team and support and contribute to the development of an effective promotional, communications and marketing strategy to promote commercial activities, including the use of technology which encompasses social media.
To support the delivery and development of both the short course provision and bespoke training for commercial clients
To support the collation and analysis of market intelligence, in conjunction with employers and referral agencies to ensure the college is aware of potential opportunities.
Key Skills:
Recent experience of providing training advice to clients
Experience of working on own initiative and as a team to support delivery of targets and objectives to tight deadlines
Experience of developing and coordinating training programmes
Experience of developing a client-based portfolio
Supporting preparation of funding bids
Well-developed presentation skills
Proficient in the use of all MS Office software
Knowledge of college provision in terms of courses and training options and wider operating context
