Ex forces security professionals are sought for this manager role in Blackpool.

You will be responsible for managing the team and a strong number 2 to the head of security on the site.

It is working at one of the leading tourist attractions in the area and every day will present different security issues to be managed.

Key Tasks

1. The supervision of uniformed security patrols and scanners.

1. To Implement and maintain a positive Health & Safety culture, ensuring that the company Health & Safety systems and procedures, are understood and adhered to.

1. To support your line director with recruitment of permanent and seasonal employees for the Security & Scanner departments, ensuring that they carry out a departmental Induction, followed by a company Induction.

1. To ensure that a high standard of personal and team appearance is maintained, and that employee uniforms (including personal protective equipment) is clean, in good condition and worn correctly at all times.

1. Provide training to all seasonal and permanent staff within the security & scanner departments, with particular emphasis on tasks and equipment typical to individual roles. Training Matrix and annual Training Plan to be maintained.

1. To ensure that the security operational systems and procedures are understood and adhered to.

1. To produce the weekly staff rotas for the security & scanner departments in line with departmental budget and submitting time sheets to payroll.

1. To ensure all operational areas under your supervision are correctly staffed at all times to maximise guest safety and guest satisfaction.

1. To ensure that Health & Safety and departmental documents (including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Assessments, COSHH, PPE and as requested by the Director of Security) are regularly reviewed and current.

1. To ensure you and your team make regular patrols of the site providing a visible reassuring presence to guests, facilitating prompt response in the detection and apprehension any offenders causing disturbance, nuisance, loss, or damage to the company or its assets.

1. To liaise effectively with the emergency services and company Medics.

1. To ensure that all of the hazardous first aid waste is disposed of correctly.

1. To ensure equipment used by the department is well maintained, regularly cleaned and serviced in line with the manufacturer''s recommendations, and stored securely when not in use.

1. To schedule and coordinate requests for driving duties, and undertake driving duties as required to do so.

1. To issue company vehicles and their keys, ensuring that all of the vehicles are inspected daily, cleaned regularly and are presented to the highest standard when out on company business.

16. To undertake searches and security checks of employees, guests and contractors, on a regular but random basis or as directed by departmental managers or the Director of Security.

17. To undertake drug & alcohol testing of potential applicants / employees / contractors / concessionaires etc. on a regular but random basis as requested by HR, the Director of Security or in response to reasonable suspicion - referring all failures to the company Medics.

18. To immediately communicate to the Director of Security any problems or incidents that may have occurred, that could threaten the safety or security of guests or employees.

19. To undertake and successfully complete any such training that the company requires of you, which is relevant to the position of employment that you hold.

20. To assume control of the incident scene, specifically safety, in any major incident.
